A huge thank you to all those who joined us at our Introduction to Stuntwork training seminar. The guys from Clear Vision Films: and the Breakenback Films team were very happy with the turn out, response and feedback to this first course and we are already looking at organising our next one, which at this stage is looking like being highfalls, so keep you eyes on this spot for details. We will also be posting some pictures and videos of the course so those that missed out can see some of what we got up to and be inspired.

Breakenback Films is running a joint training seminar with Clear Vision Films:
This is an introduction to stuntwork and will mainly be conducted around body control which is essential to being a stuntie. This will be conducted by Igor Breakenback with assistance from the Breakenback Stunt Team. It is a great way to get to know working stunties and develop your industry skills and find out what it take to become a professional stunt person.
This introductory course offered by Breakenback Films and Clear Vision Films is mandatory if you wish to become involved in further courses such as high falls, car knock downs, horse stunt riding, fire burns etc. The skills you will learn are transferable and admittance to these other courses will not be permitted unless this intro course has been attended due to safety reasons.
Positions are limited so get in early to secure your place. Cost is $250 (GST Included), however if you recomend four others who join we will half your cost. Only one recommend per person. Please request a personal info form which will lead to many payment options including periodical payments.

Breakenback Films has an extra treat for fans and aspiring indy film makers out there, a podcast from the Brisbane Supanova featuring Igor Breakenback discussing "Good Luck With That" and answering some questions about a whole range of problems indy films face when trying to produce believable action and stunts on a budget is now available online. A big thanks to Joffre Street Productions for recording the podcast.

So, the Sydney Supanova is over and we had a fantastic time, a very big thank you to all the fans who stopped by the stall to say hi and pick up a copy of our latest release, the short film "Kicasso". Another big thanks to all the people who attended the first "Kicasso" big screen event and provided the feedback that we always look forward to.
We at Breakenback Films would also like to congratulate Kira Pearson, the winner of our "Good Luck With That" prize draw, but for those of you who missed out and didn't pick up a copy at the Supanova fear not! You can still pick up a copy as well as a variety of our other merchandise online in our shop.

Well, June is here and we at Breakenback Films have been busy, the Sydney Supanova is fast approaching with only 3 weeks left and we've been busy training up some stuff for you to see. Sydney should be a big event and as it's our hometown we will be putting on a few special demonstrations. Details for Supanova 2008 are available on their website and if you do come on down, drop by our stall to say hi, have a chat with some of our cast and crew, and pick up some signed merchandise including our brand new range of hoodies.

You may have seen the recent run of Visa commercials starring Jackie Chan... what most of you won't know is that for the shot showed below, they opted for Jackie Chans new Australian body double, our very own Igor Breakenback!

If you look carefully you'll also notice that the image is in fact made out of about 20 different shots of Igor doing that flying kick, with different images being composited together to create the exact position they wanted.

We are proud to announce that we have signed the young Austrian band “Heretic Sounds” to our Breakenback Films music label. The two singles “Sweet Queen of Pain” and “The Lonely Waiting” first heard in "Good Luck With That" are now available through Itunes.

"Good Luck With That" is now available for purchase at Indieflix, for those in Brisbane though, Breakenback Films is currently preparing to leave for the Brisbane Supanova and by all accounts it will be even bigger than Melbourne.
Also don't forget for those Supa Fan Pass holders, "Good Luck With That" will be up once again on the big screen on Saturday at 6:15pm at the Madman Anime Theatre.

We have just arrived home from a successful trip to the Melbourne Supanova 2008 and our first Victorian big screen outing for "Good Luck With That" We'd like to put out a very big thanks to all the people who attended the screening and for all the wonderful feedback as well as to the hundreds of people that attended the Q & A session with Igor.
