Well, June is here and we at Breakenback Films have been busy, the Sydney Supanova is fast approaching with only 3 weeks left and we've been busy training up some stuff for you to see. Sydney should be a big event and as it's our hometown we will be putting on a few special demonstrations. Details for Supanova 2008 are available on their website and if you do come on down, drop by our stall to say hi, have a chat with some of our cast and crew, and pick up some signed merchandise including our brand new range of hoodies.

You may have seen the recent run of Visa commercials starring Jackie Chan... what most of you won't know is that for the shot showed below, they opted for Jackie Chans new Australian body double, our very own Igor Breakenback!
If you look carefully you'll also notice that the image is in fact made out of about 20 different shots of Igor doing that flying kick, with different images being composited together to create the exact position they wanted.

We are proud to announce that we have signed the young Austrian band “Heretic Sounds” to our Breakenback Films music label. The two singles “Sweet Queen of Pain” and “The Lonely Waiting” first heard in "Good Luck With That" are now available through Itunes.

"Good Luck With That" is now available for purchase at Indieflix, for those in Brisbane though, Breakenback Films is currently preparing to leave for the Brisbane Supanova and by all accounts it will be even bigger than Melbourne.
Also don't forget for those Supa Fan Pass holders, "Good Luck With That" will be up once again on the big screen on Saturday at 6:15pm at the Madman Anime Theatre.

We have just arrived home from a successful trip to the Melbourne Supanova 2008 and our first Victorian big screen outing for "Good Luck With That" We'd like to put out a very big thanks to all the people who attended the screening and for all the wonderful feedback as well as to the hundreds of people that attended the Q & A session with Igor. As another Supa Fan Pass exclusive we'll be screening the mind-blowing "Good Luck With That" (M) introduced by star, director, producer and writer, Igor Breakenback, each Saturday night of the Expo at 6:15pm in the Madman Anime Theatre.

Due to tickets for the Breakenback Action International Film Festival selling out even faster than anticipated, we have upgraded to a bigger cinema so that we have an extra 60 seats available, this means you can invite more of your friends along! It is still recomended that you book tickets as we will not be keeping a reserve for ticket purchases on the day.

“Good Luck With That” had a successful world premier, and while we didn't come away with the prize in either of the categories we were nominated for we did peak the interest of a lot of international film makers and attract the attention of another international distributor. We will post some pictures from the event soon so check back for updates! We are still preparing for the Breakenback Action International Film Festival (BAIFF) which will also be the “Good Luck With That” Australian premier.

"Good Luck With That" has been selected for the AOF Film Festival at the Long Beach Convention and Entertainment Center July 27-29, 2007! So it will officially have its world premiere screening there. With the acceptance into the contest we have received 4 entry passes for the event.
We are planning a promotion tour and would like to make the trip to LA and try promote the movie during the event. Since the event goes for 3 days and attracts more then 20.000 people, it would be the perfect networking opportunity to meet possible distributors.
We still need your help, a promotion tour is expensive (flight ticket, posters, promo material), so we are raising funds again! We are thankful for all donations so far and no donation is too small, please click here to donate.
If you know somebody in the Long Beach area that would be happy to provide accommodation for a few days, please get in touch with us. As this would bring some of our costs down. In return we will provide you with one of the passes for the festival!

We hope to go really well in this festival and start gaining some recognition for the film, we'll keep you updated on how we do. "Good Luck With That" is now down to 2.30 min on the timeline. It needs some more post production and down cutting to get it to a solid 100min feature. Breakenback Films office had a small set back when the 7 year old office laptop crashed and almost took 7 years worth of work with it. most files got rescued and luckily the GLWT project is on a separate unit. If you are not getting any replies from the office in the moment, that is because we are still in the process of organaising a new office laptop. our tip to everyone with their lifes work on computers, back it up now and then every week from now on! Small price to pay compared to the loss of years of hard work. we are also still looking for support, so do not forget to get your "Good Luck With That" Executive Producer credit on Ebay.
